This season is our 30th birthday!!!!

Levels - 19 November 2006:By Jan McInnes
The weather looked great when we got to the track, but then the wind turned to the south and it got quite cold - from the icebergs most northerner’s said! At least the rain stayed away until after the racing was finished which was a blessing in disguise. Great to see Rob Carpenter in his Lotus Cortina - first time out with the team.

Qualifying - Wayne P has obviously taken to driving the Falcon very well as he claimed pole position with a not too shabby time of 1:11.27 (Wax has the lap record at 1:11.69) from Jason, Scorch & Jim L who had Tuff on his heels.

Race 1 - Scorch won this, Wayne P, Tuff then Jason. Very exciting racing and the times proved it with Jason’s best time as 1:12.53, Scorch at 1:12.58 and Wayne P at 1:12.59 - where’s that blanket?

Race 2 - the times were a lot slower, but the racing wasn’t. Another reverse top 50% and with a tighter circuit than Ruapuna, it was harder for the bigger cars to get past. Jason won this with Barry 2nd, Tony 3rd and Tuff on 4th.

Race 3 - Due to the new handicapping amendment brought in just recently, this race start was a bit of a botch up, but Bob loved me again with another win, but only just as Tuff was very close on his heels, Tony got a comfortable 3rd with Scorch not far off on 4th.
